My name is Mandy Lindsay and I am the State Representative for HD42 here in northwest Aurora. This is my 5th year down at the Capitol and during my time at the legislature I have passed over 60 bills in areas such as housing, healthcare, workforce, education, transportation, senior issues, gun safety, immigration, criminal justice, environment, civil rights, reproductive rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, agriculture, and water resources.

 

I’m also a mom of four, a wife, a cat lover, an avid thrifter, a book-clubber, a writer, a TV/movie/award show fanatic, and a former rollergirl.  My lived experience 100% shapes my political values and policy priorities. Like you, I’m living a regular ol’ life here in Aurora — raising a family, making sure bills get paid every month, doing my best to stay healthy, and trying to find joy in every day life while also worrying about the future.

 

I’m so proud to live in, and represent, HD42. We have the whole world here (I challenge any other house district in the state to a cuisine competition!) and our diversity is also our greatest asset. We face many challenges, but together, we can create the change necessary to improve the lives of everyone in our community.  Will you join me in this endeavor?
